Econ Blogs Taking Over the World

The L.A. Times ran an article yesterday about the runaway popularity of economics blogs. They are so popular, in fact, that the Times chose to run the piece on Thanksgiving, when the paper is read by approximately 18 people. But here’s the weirdest thing: even in the online version of an article about blogs, there are no links to the blogs themselves.

You and Levitt are great influence and inspiration. Just a heads up!

  3. Thanksgiving is a slow day only in the US. The rest of the world doesn’t stop, and the LA Times is read outside the US.
So, you can count on more than 18 people reading that article!

Congratulations on the LA Times shout out, but I agree on your comment regarding links. What gives? I cruised over to the article hoping to find several new econ blogs to add to my growing feed list. I blinked and rubbed my eyes, convinced that perhaps my eyesight was to blame for the lack of links. Sadly, it’s not me. It’s the LA Times, and bad on them.
