With so much focus on Lance, good for him for grabbing some recognition.

While Voeckler may lack Lance’s overall genetic awesomeness to win the Tour, let alone win it seven times, he has the “never say die” underdog quality that Americans admire so much. He’s like Rocky- he will not stay down.

No wonder he has so many fans in France and elsewhere.

Absolutly fantastic. Why should someone not dedicate something to themselves. They are the ones that put in the hard work etc. Why not take the recognition!
This should happen more often imo

Don’t be so quick. French male cyclists who’ve just won a stage of the TdeF are honest – at least for a distinct period of time.

It’s deserved. He has made a spectacle entertaining a lot of fans of that sport. Now, that is something constructive (perhaps, neutral to the skeptics), at least fun, but does that self-interested victory justify any means? For example, may he cheat to win? Or, might he bully his main opponents before the competition, ensuring his triumph over them? Or, worse than that, might he guarantee that his opponents would not have bicycles to compete? And so forth. That is the problem with the pseudophilosophy of Ms. Ayn Rand.

On the other hand, Thomas Voeckler has all the merit.

Another person said a similar quote:

I congratulate myself and every other Indian.
