The answer to the last quiz was indeed The Colbert Report, as blog reader Risingson astutely guessed 8 minutes after I posted the quiz. Congratulations to him.
Having watched Colbert interview others, I have immense respect for his ability to find a person’s absolute weak spot. Hopefully I know my weak spots well enough to do some advance preparation, but often people are blind to their own weak spots.
The interview will be on the Tuesday Dec 5 show. Please do me a favor and do not watch or Tivo it.

haha you’ll be alright
— CraigWon’t matter if we don’t want/TiVo it, it will be posted on Comedy Central’s website for all the world to see, in perpetuity.
The good news is that you aren’t A Republican Tool, who are the only people who come off looking really stupid because he does such a good job at pointing out the huge flaws in their positions.
Some guest last week who kept laughing during Colbert’s interview with him whenever Colbert said something that was supposed to be “serious”. Try not to do that. You’re the straight man, he’s the comedian. Those who try to out-do him end up looking foolish. The only person I’ve seen leave Colbert speechless from his ability to think and respond quickly is Tony Campolo, the “Liberal/Evangelical” Baptist pastor who Colbert referred to as a “living oxymoron.” (*)
Remember, the answer to the question “George W. Bush: Great president or Greatest president?” is “Greatest”. As in greatest ego, greatest mess, greatest number of blind spots, greatest transition from prosperity to brink of collapse, greatest ability to spin any situation, greatest number of vacation days…. the list goes on and on.
Of course your actual answer should be “The greatest president was Jed Bartlett, because he was an economist.”

— luomatTo be in character, Colbert will have to do some parody of a right wing attack on your work on abortion. I recall that O’Reilly tried casting abortion as “social engineering”, so expect something along those lines.
Oh, btw., I first heard of Freakonomics from your appearance on The Daily Show and bought the book because the ideas sounded interesting. Really glad I did :-)
